Share Your World 6-8-2020

This is my first entry to Melanie’s Sharing Your World Challenge. Melanie sets the questions and you get a chance to answer them.

How comfortable are you speaking in front of large groups of people?

  • I have no problems taking to strangers. I can be at a bus stop and talk to someone. In fact I am a chatter box and my other half says, if we moved to remote island with only one other person on it, I’d know all about them by the time he’d moved our boxes in. But the thought of standing in front of a group of people with their eyes focused on me feels with with dread.

What would be the best thing you could reasonably expect to find in a cave?

  • Peace and quiet. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

What did you think was going to be amazing but turned out to be horrible?

  • Oh this one is hard… but it has to be cooking… and my first attempt at a gypsy tart. I don’t know what I did wrong but the middle just poured out and it headed straight for the bin.

What’s the silliest thing you’ve observed someone get upset about?

  • Someone’s sense of humour. I can’t remember what was actually said but they were asked question in a game we were all playing, and they gave a reply as a joke that another person did not find amusing… and boy was they in trouble. And the more this person got upset the more we couldn’t stop laughing. I know it’s not nice to laugh in situations like this… but the laughter was caused by the person who cracked the funny trying to get them self out of the dog house.

  2. Thank you so much for Sharing Your World!! There’s always one in the crowd who feels they must take personal affront at someone else’s joke or humor. I feel really sorry for the person too..imagine living life with such a grim outlook? πŸ˜† Hopefully peace and quiet is in the cave and not vampire zombie bats! πŸ˜› Lastly the tart didn’t look that awful, but if the middle was uncooked or liquid at the end of the baking, maybe next time add a bit more flour to thicken it up a little..? Cooking can be tricky! Have a great week and welcome to our little SYW group here! πŸ™‚

    1. I know having a grim outlook on life was draining on us all. Times of the past now… I hope my cave doesn’t have vampire zombie bats πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ disturbing my peace.

As for the Gypsy Tart Take 2 … it ended up in the bin πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ I’m now resolved to buying them from Morrison’s.
