“I’m choosing not to do it. It’s a recommendation, they recommend it,” Mr Trump said. “I just don’t want to wear one myself.”Donald Trump – April 2020
According to Statista.com there has been 1,366,675 deaths due to Covid 19 worldwide up until the 20th November 2020.
Worldwide, 1,366,675 does not seem a lot when it comes to deaths worldwide… but the cold hard fact, that every life lost to Covid leaves a grieving family.
There are 1,366,576 grieving families and there are 57,293,793 people worldwide with Covid. And the infection rate is 2.5 per person.
Well that means for every infected person 2.5 people will contract the disease if these people don’t self isolate and abide by the rules.
There is no American virus, no British virus, no European virus, there is one virus that doesn’t stop at borders, or races… it affects the young and the old. People of all colours and creeds. It doesn’t matter if your rich or poor, a child or an adult, Coronavirus doesn’t worry about your wealth either. It just loves to infect people and kill them.
It is unimaginable to think what would have happened if every leader of this world or person acted like Trump, with his injection disinfectant comments and his stance in April about not wearing face-masks and the various ludicrous pandemic comments during this world crisis. I will be glad to see the arse-part of his cavalier attitude and his handling of this pandemic.
Those that refuse to wear a mask, purely for vanity reasons, doesn’t help you and I. Maybe masks don’t fully protect you… but they must protect you even it is a little. And here in the UK I would like to see masks or visors mandatory when out in public, unless you have a letter from your GP.
So no, Trump is NOT noteworthy… he is dangerous and a danger not just to Americans but everyone. His term in office is coming to an end. Thank God. Hopefully from January 20th 2021, we will see worldwide changes, for the better I hope. And with a vaccine on the horizon I hope and pray that 2021 will be a better for people… however for those 1.3+million families grieving for lost loved ones, I hope they can restart to rebuild their lives.
